I witnessed a beautiful sunrise today and as I am usually nocturnal, this is something special. I'm thankful that the sun always rises everyday; I can't imagine life without sunshine. Even how dark and gloomy the night was, we can always be assured of the breaking of dawn, and of the sun shining again. A symbol of hope and assurance of life.
As I gaze towards the sky, marveling at the shapes of the clouds, I had the chance to think more about my life. I haven't done that in a long time - to really reflect on my life. I feel guilty to think that every time I woke up, I usually check on my phone and yes, my FB. I do say a quick prayer but that's it. I haven't given enough listening time to God's message for me that day.
And as I looked into the seas (I had an early boat ride), I realized, I was missing that space where God and I can be together, that special moment of feeling God's comforting warmth and understanding His message. I am glad I did that today. I really hope I can be more of a morning person.
Thank you Sunrise. Thank you for the reminder that "we can be closest to God when we are closest to nature." And thank you for inspiring me to write again, to capture the reflections from those special moments with the Lord.I look forward to more of these in the next days.
Yes, I am writing again. Better yet, I am learning again. A new beginning, indeed.
Life Verse: "Those who live at the ends of the earth stand in awe of your wonders.
From where the sun rises to where it sets, you inspire shouts of joy." Psalm 65:8
My Prayer: Father, thank you for the sunrise. Thank you for the assurance that with You, there is always hope in life. I pray that every time I wake up, I will be able to seek Your face first and remember to praise Your name every day of my life. Thank you that we have the daily chance to renew our lives and make it better than yesterday. We love you Lord.
